Originally hailing from Ohio the duo consists of singer Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun. They gained recognition when they were signed by Fueled By Ramen a label that also housed bands, like Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, and Paramore back in 2012. Their debut album under the label “Vessel ” was released in 2013. Reached number twenty-one on the Billboard 200 chart attracting fans worldwide. Following their success they joined Fall Out Boy on tour in 2013. Later released their album “Blurryface” in 2015. This album propelled them to fame as it sold over a hundred and thirty thousand copies within the week in the USA alone. The third single from “Blurryface ” titled “Stressed Out ” climbed to number two, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Since then the band has only gotten better attracting fans worldwide with their performances and producing a lot of music in the process. While both members of the band follow the faith and their songs touch on some themes they don’t strictly fit into the Christian music category. Their style spans from hip hop to rap rock to pop to indie to electropop ensuring there’s a Twenty One Pilots track, for every taste. Essentially the band has carved out its musical niche that appeals to a wide audience.
